The short version: GlobalCarePort collects only the information needed to operate the platform — your name, email, and booking details. We don't sell your data, we don't share it with advertisers, and we use industry-standard security to protect it. Full details below.

Who We Are

GlobalCarePort ("we," "us," or "our") is a medical tourism marketplace operated by GlobalCarePort LLC (pending registration), based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States. Our platform at globalcareport.com connects patients seeking medical care abroad with verified medical providers worldwide.

GlobalCarePort is a booking and discovery platform. We are not a medical provider, we do not offer medical advice, and we are not responsible for the medical services provided by the practitioners listed on our platform.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website and services. By using GlobalCarePort, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

What We Collect

We collect information in two ways — information you give us directly, and information collected automatically when you use the platform.

Information you provide directly:

  • Account information — your name and email address when you create an account or enquire about a provider
  • Booking information — your name, email, phone number, and the procedure or service you are enquiring about or booking
  • Payment information — when you pay a deposit, your payment is processed directly by Stripe. GlobalCarePort does not store your card details — Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy and security standards
  • Communications — messages you send to providers through our platform, or messages you send to our support team
  • Provider applications — if you apply to list your practice, we collect your name, email, specialty, credentials, and clinic information

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data — pages visited, search terms used, and features interacted with on our platform
  • Device and browser information — browser type, operating system, and IP address, used for security and platform optimisation
  • Cookies — see the Cookies section below for full details

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate and improve the GlobalCarePort platform
  • Process bookings and facilitate communication between patients and providers
  • Process payments and deposits via Stripe
  • Send booking confirmations, reminders, and follow-up communications related to your bookings
  • Verify provider credentials and manage provider listings
  • Respond to your enquiries and provide customer support
  • Detect and prevent fraud or misuse of the platform
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your personal information for advertising, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell your data to any third party for marketing purposes.

If you have created an account or made a booking, we may send you service-related emails such as booking confirmations and reminders. These are not marketing emails and cannot be unsubscribed from as they are necessary to operate the service. If we introduce optional marketing communications in the future, we will ask for your explicit consent first.

How We Share Your Information

We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With medical providers — when you make a booking or send an enquiry, your name, contact details, and procedure of interest are shared with the relevant provider so they can respond to you and prepare for your appointment. By making an enquiry or booking, you consent to this sharing.
  • With Stripe — your payment information is processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe is a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. Their privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
  • With service providers — we use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate the platform, including our hosting provider (Ionos) and our booking system (Amelia). These providers process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements and may not use your data for their own purposes.
  • For legal compliance — we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of GlobalCarePort, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers — if GlobalCarePort is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you if this occurs.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

Cookies

GlobalCarePort uses a small number of cookies — small text files stored on your device — to operate the platform.

Essential cookies — these are required for the platform to function and cannot be disabled. They include session cookies that keep you logged in, security cookies that protect against cross-site request forgery, and booking system cookies used by our Amelia booking software.

Payment cookies — Stripe uses cookies as part of its fraud prevention and payment processing systems. These are governed by Stripe's own cookie policy.

We do not currently use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or analytics cookies. If we introduce analytics tools in the future, we will update this policy and seek your consent where required.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the platform from functioning correctly.

Data Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. GlobalCarePort uses the following measures to protect your data:

  • All data transmitted between your browser and our platform is encrypted using SSL/TLS (you will see the padlock icon in your browser)
  • Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe and is never stored on GlobalCarePort servers
  • Access to personal data is restricted to team members who need it to perform their role
  • Our hosting infrastructure is maintained by Ionos, a European-standard hosting provider

No online platform can guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at contact@globalcareport.com.

In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to access — you can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Right to correction — you can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Right to deletion — you can ask us to delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions (for example, we may need to retain booking records for legal or financial compliance purposes)
  • Right to data portability — you can request your data in a machine-readable format
  • Right to object — you can object to certain uses of your personal information

To exercise any of these rights, please email us at contact@globalcareport.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will respond within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children's Privacy

GlobalCarePort is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us at contact@globalcareport.com and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify registered users by email.

Your continued use of GlobalCarePort after any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
